DMK's first women's conference was held at Cuddalore on 14th and 15th of this month. Arrangements for the conference were started about two months earlier. Since then, there were visit, after visit, after visit at ministers cadre to check the progress of the work. Elaborate stage arrangements were made at Manjakuppam maidanam - the venue of the meeting.
Since there there was an extensive coverage of this function by media at state level, I stop with this. I have posted below the 'Street Photos', to give you a feel of how it has been.

The conference was done by the party just to make a publicity of themselves while making hardship to the daily life of the general public..
the public were put into the trouble of a round about routes
temporary bus stops damaged the play grounds meant for the students
huge cutouts and arches damaged the roads which were laid using the money contributed by the democratic public.
the grass on the median developed with much of hard work were killed by the flag posts of the party.
Just the basic right of education is given a big question mark by forcibly closing the educational institutions just for accommodating the party workers.
Are the party workers fighting a freedom struggle in demanding the schools be closed for ensuring their accommodation? Are the students, teachers and educationists guinea pigs to these politicians?
Hey this is a democratic country..
Not just a emperor's rule where everyone praises "The Emperor's New Clothes"
Is it a distant dream that we get good education and good politics here in our country?
A well wisher
