Proposal to convert ECR into four lane
Rs.63 lakhs had been allocated for the feasibility report and environmental assessment work for coverting ECR stretch between Chennai and Puducherry [puthuchcheari] into four lanes. This was allocated late last year. If any of you know about the progress of the work, please share us.

cuddalore to pondicherry highway is in the midst of traffic for a long time. Is there any plan to upgrade it into four lane?
I remember a proposal was put forward by Puducherry government to convert Cuddalore - Puducherry and Cuddalore - Villupuram roads and four lanes. But I believe this was dropped later.
